Course Overview
The LLB (Hons) Law Top-Up programme at the University of Lancashire offers a comprehensive and professional pathway for individuals seeking to enhance their legal qualifications and pursue a successful career in law. Designed as an intensive 12-months course and delivered 100% online, this final year degree builds upon existing legal knowledge gained through prior education and provides a solid foundation for aspiring solicitors or barristers.
Graduates of the LLB emerge with a wellrounded and exhaustive law degree, and equipped with practical skills and a deep understanding of legal principles.
Programme Modules
This programme consists of 5 modules.
Analyze alternative dispute resolution methods, comparing their strengths, limitations, and practical/ethical implications compared to traditional approaches.
Build on professional and employability skills from previous years, exploring advanced skills and work-related learning for career transition.
Develop practical legal knowledge and critically analytical skills relevant to ethical enterprise and entrepreneurship.
Critically examine and apply legal principles governing business corporations' formation, operation, dissolution, and actors' conduct.
Develop research skills by enabling the self-directed planning, research, and production of an independently produced piece of legal writing which addresses critically a legally topic.
Entry Requirements
Entry to LLB (Hons) top-up course
• Qualifi Level 4 Diploma in Law and Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Law or equivalent
• Applicants without a Level 4 and/or Level 5 Diploma but holding relevant experience will be provided an alternative accelerated pathway on a case-by-case basis
