The Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management (Level 7) is designed for individuals aspiring to lead and manage projects across diverse industries. Programme Modules
This programme consists of 6 modules totalling 120 credits.
This foundational module introduces students to the key principles of project management, focusing on the stages of the project lifecycle. Students will learn about essential tools and techniques for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects. Emphasis is placed on understanding stakeholder roles, resource management, and applying various project management methodologies to ensure project success.
This module focuses on aligning projects and programmes with organisational strategic goals. Students will explore how to manage project portfolios effectively and engage stakeholders to ensure project success. The module also covers the identification of stakeholder needs and the impact of projects on overall business strategy.
In this module, students will explore the techniques required for effective project scheduling and budgeting. They will learn to estimate costs, create detailed project timelines, and monitor financial resources using tools like Gantt charts and earned value management to ensure project success.
This module covers the essential aspects of managing risks, quality, and procurement in projects. Students will learn to identify and assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, implement quality management practices, and manage procurement processes, including contract negotiations and supplier relationships.
This module focuses on the leadership skills necessary for managing project teams, allocating resources, and effective communication strategies. Students will explore different leadership styles, team dynamics, and techniques for ensuring efficient resource allocation and management in diverse project environments.
This module introduces governance frameworks in project management, with a focus on ensuring ethical and sustainable practices. Students will explore the role of governance in delivering successful projects and the importance of incorporating sustainability principles into project planning and execution.
Entry Requirements
Entry to LIBT Level 7 Diploma in Project Management
• A bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Should be at least 22 years of age.Or
• A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience.
