Programme Modules
This programme consists of 6 modules totalling 120 credits.
This module aims to cultivate and enhance learners' understanding of the pivotal theories and principles that underscore effective leadership within educational environments. Facilitated through a varied anthology of case studies from diverse settings, learners will analyse and evaluate leadership concepts critically and apply them to their own professional practice.
This module familiarises learners with the significance of institutional culture by exploring analytical models that provide a research foundation for understanding how cultures function within an educational context. It examines the aspects of leadership behaviour that shape a school’s culture and investigates the dynamics through which change is either promoted or hindered.
This module strives to deepen learners' comprehension of effective leadership concerning the human element in a school setting. Learners will reflect critically on key themes such as teacher and staff management, lesson observation, target setting and performance appraisal, thereby developing crucial skills for leading diverse teams and fostering inclusive educational communities.
Aiming to refine learners' ability to lead teaching and learning endeavours within a school environment, this module endeavours to build expertise in analysing classroom performance, understanding pedagogical science and theory, as well as enhancing teacher competencies in the digital era, all geared towards promoting favourable pupil outcomes.
This module aims to examine educational innovation and comprehend how pedagogical leadership can support a culture of continuous improvement. Engaging with contemporary theories, practices, and case analyses, learners will evaluate and apply innovative strategies to enhance teaching, learning, and overall school effectiveness.
In this module, learners are presented with the opportunity to plan a substantive piece of individual research concerning leadership within their specific context, connecting theory with practice. They are supported with additional research skill requisites, including online sessions exploring research methods and ethics in educational research.

Entry to LIBT Level 7 Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management
• A bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Should be at least 22 years of age.Or
• A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience.
