120 Credit LIBT Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Education

The Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) offered by the London Institute of Business and Technology (LIBT) is a Level 7 qualification recognised by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). It is designed to prepare educators, trainers, and academic leaders to address contemporary challenges and opportunities in education through research-informed and practice-oriented learning.
The programme provides a holistic understanding of educational philosophy, modern pedagogical approaches, assessment, technology integration, neuroscience, inclusive education, and leadership in the digital era. Through a carefully structured curriculum, students develop the ability to design effective learning environments, implement innovative teaching strategies, and lead educational transformation with confidence.
Delivered through a blended learning model, the programme combines academic rigour with practical application. Learners gain the skills to critically evaluate educational theories, apply learning analytics, conduct action research, and promote inclusive and ethical educational practices.
Graduates are equipped to advance into leadership and management roles within the education sector or pursue a Master’s degree by completing a dissertation with one of LIBT’s university partners.
This programme consists of 10 modules totalling 150 credits.
This unit aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the philosophical underpinnings of education and contemporary theories of learning and teaching. Students will explore how these philosophies and theories can be applied to create effective and inclusive educational practices in diverse settings.
Critically evaluate strategic management theories and frameworks and apply them to complex, ambiguous business problems in your own organisation.
Synthesise financial, operational, marketing and HR perspectives into an integrated strategic plan, and defend it against board‑level challenge.
Lead change initiatives that account for organisational culture, ethics and global operating contexts.
Reflect on your own leadership practice and design a personal development plan that progresses you toward Chartered Manager status with the CMI.
